Vehicles from Bandai America's unsuccessful "Xyber 9" series.

I picked all of these up for less than $30 total at Kay Bee Toy Liquidators!

Half Back

"Half Back", a tank vehicle resembling a cross between Black Tiger and BullCrane (Crater Cruncher). Can carry 3 figures. Cost: $7.99!

Half Back

Rear view. Notice how cool this toy would make a basis for a custom "Terraphant 2." The treads are rubber and motorized, too. The missile launcher can launch 6 missiles.

Half Back cockpit

The cockpit of HalfBack opened. The interior details are nice, with a seat for a pilot and room for a second figure to stand and look out the hatch.

SkyFighter

"SkyFighter" is a beautiful propeller-driven aircraft that can comfortably seat a Microman figure. It looks to me like Micro Cessna Mark II... Cost: $4.99!

SkyFighter

The wings of SkyFighter can be folded up when it has landed. It has a rear retractable landing skid, two launching missiles, and pop-out turbo rockets on the underside.

SkyFighter

Here's a look inside the cockpit at a CosmoMan pilot.

Jumper

Jack is riding the cool "Jumper" vehicle. Cost: $2.99!

Jumper

The handlebars rotate the cannon, which can lanch a missile, and the wings can fold up.

Speeder

Jeffrey here is riding the "Speeder" bike. Cost: $2.99!

Speeder

The nose hides a pop-out gattling gun, and pushing in the engine makes the wings fold back.

Scout Glider

The "Scout Glider", ridden here by Adam, is a favorite of mine. Cost: $2.99!

Scout Glider

It looks to me like a Flapter from Miyazaki's Laputa: Castle in the Sky mixed with a Microman Gyro! Sweet! The fan blade underneath does in fact rotate (most parts on these toys can be moved). The wings carry 2 missile launchers.

War Planets BladeWing

War Planets BladeWing

Trendmaster's War Planets toys are a little cheaper quality than the Bandai ones above. I only found the "BladeWing" pictured above piloted by Michael. It has folding wings and a retractable skid, but is a little cheaply made. All these toys came with rather lousy action figures, a shame as this toy's figure might have otherwise looked good with the Micronaut aliens. Cost: $3.99, which is oddly a dollar more than the far superior Xyber 9 bikes (shrug).
